Elaine and Don Booker operate SEWINFINGS on the Gold Coast Hinterland in South East Queensland.

Elaine has been interested in sewing and allied fields since a child. She excelled in sewing at school. Embroidery, drafting and crochet were her favourites. On leaving high school she went to work in a specialist Babies and Children's clothing manufacturing factory. Elaine was taught all aspects of this specialist industry and soon became head smocker for the firm working mostly on beautiful Christening Gowns.

Her passion includes Machine Embroidery and Patchwork Quilting. She enjoys her Janome Memory Craft 9500 and 300E machines and has recently purchased the Janome 10000 digitizer and Generations digitizing software.

She has now turned her hand to digitizing and is enjoying the challenge of using her computer skills and digitizing software to achieve beautiful machine embroidery.

Don is a licensed builder and a qualified carpenter and joiner with a love of woodworking. His handiwork has won him several prizes in woodworking.

Don is always searching for new ideas to manufacture from wood for quality sewing accessories. He has plans on the drawing board for several new products to be released in the coming months.
